Forever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven.  Thy faithfulness is unto all generations. Ps. 119:89-90
Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and Thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Ps. 36:5
Ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. Joshua 23:14

Lamentation 3:22-23 has been a theme in my thoughts today.  The idea of God's faithfulness seems very tangible when recognizing His mercy in accepting us.   Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Until we are able to recognize the goodness of God in comparison to our unworthiness, we're not able to grasp with any comprehension of just how wonderful this is.

He gives us hope--continuation--acceptance--provision--peace--new beginnings.  All faithfully.  And this continues on to every generation.  No one is left out.  He doesn't tire of speaking the same message.

God's faithfulness knows no limits--it reaches unto the clouds--vast, immeasurable, overflowing.  His mercies keep us from being consumed, overwhelmed, destroyed.  We are kept safe within His care and concern for our well being in God's unfailing compassion for us.  Compassion is defined as being sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it (Merriam-Webster).  This is Who we serve.  The Almighty, Everlasting, Creator, Sustainer that desires to alleviate our distresses.  He doesn't brush them aside as something beneath Him. And every day, new and fresh, is refilled with these bounties of compassion.

Some folks are not troubled today.  Yet, many are with distresses, grievances, unknowns and just general waiting on the Lord.  It's NOT all a path of distress being a Christian.  No, no--the Lord brings us many happy paths to follow.  Yet, those who are walking through this New Year's passage with some hardships to face--dwell on the Lord's faithfulness.  You will find the peace that passes all understanding, the burdens eased and a renewed hope for a new morning in Christ's service.  Remember God never fails: Great is His Faithfulness (Lam. 3:23).  Praise Him!

If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself. 2 Tim 2:13

Faithful is He that calleth you, Who also will do it. 1 Th. 5:24

Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us. Ro. 5:3-5 AMP
